Missionary Spotlight September 2025: Jim and Kathy Tanner 1. Jim and Kathy hit a milestone recently by completing the first draft of this book, “God is building a strong house (the Church).” It is written in Melanesian Pidgin English, and they translated it into plain English. Thank you for praying for this project. They will send it to Papua New Guinea for review and preparation for future printing. 2. Jim has been translating various things, first in the Elimbari language, then in Pidgin English, and finally in plain English, since 1976. This one may be the last. 3. Jim and Kathy are doing well health-wise, and they love their church and small group. He is a little over halfway through a program called Re-Generation. It has been an encouragement and has drawn the men’s group into a strong bond. 4. Jim has been trying to find a good resource for Bible lessons through the Gospels. He would like to provide good resources for the people in Papua New Guinea. 5. Their garden has done quite well this summer. Gardening provides them with both good exercise and nutritious food. 6. Praise God they celebrated our 59th wedding anniversary in July. “Thank you all who pray for us, love us, and support our ministry with gifts.”
Daylight Saving Time
Day Light Saving time is ending this coming weekend. Clocks will fall back one hour on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 2:00 a.m.
Membership Class
If you would like to receive more information about the values and philosophy of Grace Church, or if you have been thinking about joining this body of believers, our next class will be immediately following the morning worship on Sunday, November 23. Attending does not necessitate membership, but anyone desiring to become a member of Grace Church needs to go through one of these classes . Please contact the church office to receive the necessary paper work needed to attend the class. Lookabaugh Shepherd Group Reformation Day Party
The Lookabaugh Shepherd Group is invited to a Reformation Day Party on Friday, October 31st, at 6:00 p.m. at the Lookabaugh's home. RSVP by texting Katy at 330-842-2142. Further details regarding what to bring will be announced in the weeks to come.
Senior Trip
Seniors! Join us Thursday, November 6, 2025, for a trip to The Barn in Smithville, Ohio, to enjoy the restaurant, the local shops, and great Christian fellowship. We will take the church van and leave at 11:00 a.m. and return by 3:30 p.m. Sign-up sheet is in the foyer at the Sign-Up Center. If you have any questions, please see Butch Wilhelm.
Registration Closes November 2, 2025 - Youth and Young Adult Fall Camp
Join us for Fall Camp! Registration will be closing Sunday, November 2. Camp is November 7-9, 2025. Come for a weekend of learning, fellowship, and fun, at Pine Lake Bible Camp in Caldwell, Ohio for our Annual Youth and Young Adult Fall Camp. Ages 12 to 30 are welcome!
