GCOR is looking for an individual to help clean the restrooms once a month. If you are interested in serving in this area please contact the church office or Connor Draa.

We would like to do a back-to-school bulletin board. We are asking all the parents to send a picture of their preschool through college age "kid" and some information: Name, grade, school name, major/field of study (if applicable), and something about the student (something they enjoy, what they want to be when they grow up, etc). Please only share what you are comfortable being on the main board outside the worship center.

The Elders are asking the congregation to affirm Todd and Connor Draa as deacons at Grace Church. Please review the biblical qualifications of a deacon in 1 Timothy 3:8-13 and if you have any concerns regarding this affirmation, you are asked to talk to Todd or Connor directly. If your concern was not satisfied following your conversation, take your concern to the Elders (Matthew 18:15-16). This period of affirmation will end on Sunday, August 25, with intent of presenting Todd and Connor as deacons soon after.

The choir is accepting new members. We rehearse every Wednesday evening and sing three times a month, plus seasonal events such as Christmas and Easter. An AWANA evening consist of game time, handbook time, and council time. In addition, there are special events that take place though the year. AWANA at Grace Church runs September through May, Sunday evenings 6:00 - 7:30 p.m.

Ladies of Grace Church from High School Seniors and up are invited to the Secret Sister Luncheon on September 8, 2024, to kick off our 24/25 season. Please feel free to join us for lunch even if you cannot participate in the Secret Sister program. Julie Draa will be doing the devotional this year. Sign-up sheet for the luncheon and registration forms are located at the Welcome Center. 

We are once again collecting school supplies for the Rootstown school system to assist children who need help purchasing supplies. We have a basket by the Women's ministry table for you to place your donated items. A list of items needed is beside the basket. Your giving will bring smiles to the faces of many kids!

This ten-week class is open to men and women and will guide you in sound hermeneutical principles in order to effectively study the Bible for yourself. Beginning September 5, this class will meet every first and third Thursday of the month. Children's Ministries is looking to fill a new Sunday School class, ages 3-4. We are in need of three teachers and two helpers to share in a rotation for this class. On November 1 and 2, Dr. John Street will join us as we host a biblical counseling conference. More information to come.

We are still in need of help in the nursery. If you are a member of GCOR and are interested in serving in the nursery contact Carly Ferrell or the office to get a Children's Nursery/Ministry Volunteer Application. All members seeking to serve in children ministries must complete and pass a background check.

The renovation downstairs is moving along. Painting is almost complete. New lighting and ceiling will be next, then flooring. Updated furniture will be part of the improvements. Thank you for your continued investment in the life of the church. Estimated cost is $18,000. If you desire to give toward this project, you can do so online by selecting "Capital Improvements" or by check indicating "Capital Improvements" on the memo line.

We need recipes for our cookbook. Categories needed are as follows:

Appetizer/Snacks, Main Dish Casseroles/Crockpot Meals, Pasta, Meat Dishes, Vegetable/Sides, Breads, Salads, Cheese Dishes, i.e., cheese ball, spreads. Desserts, Cookies, Candy, Pet Treats, Fun Food, i.e., edible play dough. Recipes can be placed at the Worship Center, given to Kim Jackson, or sent to the office. Please include your name.
