Breaking Bread

Looking to get know more people at Faith Covenant Church? Check out Breaking Bread! Breaking Bread is a simple system to help you meet some more folks.

Go 4fcc.org/breaking-bread or click here to fill out the online form and we will pair you up with another person.

You can have meal together, grab some coffee, or just meet up in-person or via zoom. However you choose to do it, this is a great way for you to meet new folks and build better relationships. “Let the field be joyful, and all that is therein: then shall all the trees of the wood rejoice.” Psalm 96:12 (KJV)

Happiness can be a fleeting feeling. One minute we are happy and the next we are not. At Joyful Nights VBS we will look at what it means to go beyond happiness and find joy. Kids will spend the week learning about how following Jesus can bring them joy. Join us for dinner, crafts, games, snacks, activities, and more!

All state & local COVID-19 protocols will be implemented & communicated for the week of VBS.

Joyful Nights Volunteers

Summer Growth Groups

Looking for a place to plug in this summer? Join a summer growth group. Many of our existing groups are continuing, such as our Tuesday night women's group and our Saturday morning men's group. We've also got some new groups starting.

Check out "Think Like a Detective," led by Tim and June Kenny. In this brand new group that meets Sundays at the church during the second service they will be working through a video series by former atheist and cold-case detective J. Warner Wallace. Together they will talk through some of the most common questions and objections that NON-BELIEVERS and NEW BELIEVERS ask so that you can "always be prepared to give an ANSWER for the hope that you have" (1 Peter 3:15).

Or maybe you are looking to study a book of the Bible this Summer. If that's you, then check out our Tuesday night study on the book of James led by Mack Crandall.

Make sure you head over to 4fcc.org/groups to learn the details of all of our groups and to sign up for one that fits with your summer.

Hospitality Volunteers

Coffee is coming back! As some of our COVID restrictions begin to relax, one of the things that we are increasing is our hospitality efforts on Sunday mornings. Serving coffee, greeting at the front door, helping as an usher, we need to people to help with all of these. You can be a part of helping people have a great experience when they come to Faith by volunteering with our hospitality team.

Want to help? Contact Pastor James by email or call 517-648-4506. He will help you get plugged in!

NAJO Garage Sale

Dates: June 17-18

Location: 1733 Ashley Ct., Commerce Township, MI

North American Japanese Outreach / NAJO, though it operates out of Faith Covenant Church, is not funded from Faith’s general budget, but is funded through fundraisers and donations to Faith for NAJO. This year we are trying to raise funds for NAJO through a garage sale.

You could be of help for this fundraiser in three ways:

1. Donate items for the garage sale.

a. Things NAJO will accept for the garage sale: small furniture (has to fit in a car for easy transport), household decorative items and knick knacks, kitchen items and appliances, toys, games, puzzles, bikes, books (in Japanese), jewelry, framed art, linens, sports items, other small working appliances, tools. All items must be new or gently used and good repair.

b. Things NAJO will not accept: furniture too large to fit in a car, large appliances, car parts, or anything that is broken.

c. Drop off items at 1733 Ashley Ct., Commerce Township, MI 48390 during the last week of May. Please call ahead to Masako Miyamoto to let her know that you have items you wish to drop off; 248-986-6861.

2. Help to price the items.

Please call Masako Miyamoto for information about when volunteers are needed to help with pricing; 248-986-6861.

3. Come and buy stuff at the garage sale on June 17-18.

If you have any questions, please contact Masako Miyamoto at 248-986-6861.
