Kingdom Kookie Elves

Date:  Saturday, December 4
Time:  8am - 12noon
Signup and Donations: click HERE

Faith Kidz and Youth Ministries are calling Kingdom Kookie Elves of all ages!

Kingdom Elves of all ages will bake, package and deliver cookies to congregation members, neighbors, and community leaders.

Kingdom Kookie Elves are ‘cousins’ of the famous Keebler Elves. Keebler says the elves have one oven with supernatural power that does all the work for them.

Kingdom Kookie Elves rely on supernatural powers as well. They are on a mission to spread Good News during this Christmas season to our congregational members, our neighbors and community leaders (such as teachers, firefighters and police officers) through the gift of cookies! While Keebler elves may use secret ingredients in their cookies, Kingdom Elves share the most important ingredient of all—Jesus!

Covenant World Relief

One of our Advent Lights opportunities is to help support the work of Covenant World Relief & Development, which is the humanitarian arm of our denomination. In the past year, CWR&D has been active in 45 countries on 5 different continents in relief and development efforts. Of the $1.74 million sent in support of CWR&D's mission, over a third of that last year went towards COVID relief.

You can support CWR&D either through a one time gift, or as a family throughout the month of November, participating in the "Can for Change" drive, which gives you some daily tasks to develop an attitude of thankfulness and giving. Our CWR&D can and offering collection day will be Sunday, Dec 5.

Cultivating Time with God

We all know we should spend time with God, but life so often gets in the way. Even when we find the time, our efforts at prayer or Bible study can leave us feeling like we don't know what we are doing. In this three week class we will be talking through the need for time with Jesus, how to get past some of the obstacles, and what to actually do to spend time during your week growing in relationship with God.

This class works through content found in John Mark Comer's book "The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry" and will meet on Wednesdays, December 1st, 8th, and 15th from 6:30-7:45 pm.
