Wow! We had a great Easter service last Sunday! We had 152 people participate. (98 in-person and 54 online). We also had several people make decisions to either accept Jesus, be baptized or consider making a decision for Jesus. Several of the new people also personally told me that they greatly enjoyed the service and that they'll be back next Sunday.
Our Kidz Bridge and Baby Bridge were open for the first time in a year and all the reports I received from teachers and students indicate it was a great success! We gave away 32 Easter bags and also several children received brand new leather bound Student Bibles and an Illustrated Bible because they requested one when they signed up for the new Minecraft online Easter Egg game.
Our band was fantastic as God's Spirit used them and the songs to inspire and move people. I particularly loved it when the Holy Spirit moved our congregation to spontaneously start singing "Nothing But The Blood of Jesus!" It was very emotional! Also, their timing was flawless as they transitioned between the message points.
The AV Team flawlessly carried out a multitude of tasks and worship elements with verses, songs and videos, that were perfectly synced for both our in-person and online services.
Our hospitality teams (Cafe, Ushers and Greeters) also did a superb job helping people feel welcome as they served everyone with a smile while providing them with a message outline, food or guest bags.
Also, I really appreciate all that our cleaning and decorating teams did to make our building a pleasant environment for worship. It sure helps to stay focused on God when our church building smells and looks good!
I believe that one of the reasons everything went so well was because we spent time during the week and before the service in prayer asking God to be with us and help us impact people's lives for his honor and glory! I'd say God answered our prayers!
Thank you all for making this Easter one of the best services we have ever had at The Bridge! It will be revealed in heaven the eternal impact we had on people's lives here in our community and around the world.
